out of line for me to state to the new worker that they have until Dec 1 to find a new home for Bear? Liams adoption will be finalized Nov 19th.
I will not say it tomorrow... that is unless I pack him up to go tomorrow but in that case it won't matter. But once a new social worker is assigned I will be letting them know.
Heck Even Nov 1st! give us the time to enjoy the whole adoption thing....
So is that reasonable?

In my program, which you may have figured out is different from others, we are asked to give 30 days notice for removal of a child.
I only did that once, with "Anne." They moved her within a week.
I don't know how it works in your part of the world, but I would expect that it is not inappropriate, but the move is likely not to happen according to your time schedule.
With our state - two weeks is official notice time. If you've made your final decision, November 1st would be a long time away. October 1st would be generous, and as the previous commenter said, it may not happen that way, anyway.
We have to give two weeks notice.
I would say that December 1 leaves them PLENTY of time to find a placement for him! I'm sure that will be a sad moment, too, though...
